The Craft Organization Development Association's (www.codacraft.org) annual conference is April 23-26 in St, Paul MN. Bill Ronay & I will leave tomorrow to make the trip.
Crafting Partnerships For Growth: Creating Connections is hosted by the American Association of Woodturners at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown St. Paul. Dr. Ann Markusen's keynote address will be Entrepreneurial Artists: The Hidden Arts Dividend for Regional Economies.
Does this sound familiar to those of you who have been watching Georgia's Creative Economies Initiative and Georgia Made Georgia Grown Products grow? Networking at these CODA Conferences have been invaluable in the creation of our programming.
Craft, economic development and tourism are synergies working in states and provinces all over North America. Follow my tweets @camilleronay.
While we are in St. Paul, I'll announce that the 2010 CODA Conference will be in the deep South for the first time in many years, right here in Savannah! Georgia Made Georgia Grown LLC, SCAD, and the City of Savannah Department of Cultural Affairs will host approx 100 craft organization leaders as we discussĀ Aspects of Identity.
